For many earlier days no test was needed for an Australian Citizenship. But from October 2007, it has been decided to conduct an Australian Citizenship Test to assess the need and requirements of immigrants trying to be the citizens of Australia. It is conducted by the DIAC (Department of Immigration and Citizenship). The test is an attempt to authenticate the validity of the need of citizenship.
Australian Citizenship Requirements:
The test has 20 multiple choice questions to be attempted in 45 minutes. The study material is also available at DIAC. “Becoming an Australian Citizen” is the best guide to prepare for the exam. The topics covered are

How to take the test:
The test can be scheduled on all working days by giving a call to the DIAC. The test appointment may be given by them depending on the city applied to.
